Where there are hearts, there is Elisabeth Tanjeloff.
The Siesta Key resident estimates that she’s collected a few hundred heart-shaped items over the years, including trinkets, plates and napkins, but this red heart mailbox is the latest.
“I love hearts because they remind people to love each other,” Tanjeloff said. “My house is surrounded with love. I even have a little neon light that says 'love.'"
Tanjeloff had the mailbox specially made for her front yard. Previously, she’s had alligators, cows and “all kinds of funky things.”
Her favorite holiday is — you guessed it — Valentine’s Day.
“Remember the Cookie Monster from Seseme Street?” Tanjeloff asks. “Well, my kids used to call me the ‘Huggie Monster' because I hugged them so much.”
