The lure of a $1 sub sandwich was too much to resist for scores of Sarasotans Thursday.
A huge lunchtime crowd descended on Jimmy John’s gourmet sandwich shop at 1626 Ringling Blvd.
Even before noon, more than 30 people were lined up outside the restaurant to purchase an inexpensive lunch.
The $1 sandwich offer is a franchise-wide promotional event.
