Two women told Sarasota Police detectives multiple shooters fired at them while they drove near on Central Avenue after 3 a.m. Monday, June 10.

The women were driving a White Crown Victoria, and using the road as a shortcut while driving to Bradenton, according to a Sarasota Police Department news release. The women, who were uninjured, passed an apartment complex on the 3300 block of Central Avenue when shots were fired, including a round that struck the passenger side of the car.

Anyone with information about the incident should call Det. John Todd at 941-954-7091.
