On Tuesday, the Sarasota County Commission is expected to appoint two Sarasota city commissioners to countywide advisory boards.
City Commissioner Terry Turner will be appointed to the Tourist Development Council, which oversees the use of the tourist-development tax, or bed tax. He will fill an unexpired four-year seat until 2012.
City Commissioner Suzanne Atwell will be appointed to the Community Action Agency board to serve as its city of Sarasota public-official representative. The Community Action Agency recommends to the county programs and services for low-income households.
Atwell will serve a three-year term that will also expire in 2012.
