Sarasota County taxpayers are invited to take part in a virtual town hall meeting on the budget Monday evening.
They’ll have the chance to ask questions about next year’s budget and give input on what services should be given priority.
The event will be broadcast on the county’s access TV station (Channel 19 on Comcast and Channel 32 on Verizon) and will also be streamed live on www.scgov.net.
Former ABC 7 news anchor Ken Jefferson will host the town hall meeting. Answering questions will be County Commission Chairman Jon Thaxton, County Administrator Jim Ley and County Budget Director Steve Botelho.
Anyone wanting to ask the panel a budget question can e-mail that question to communityconnections@scgov.net, fax it to 861-7354 or call 861-2255.
