The Suncoast Humane Society has taken in 23 rescued puppies from Alabama, after it responded to a call from help from the Macon County Humane Society.
Four puppies were left in a box next to a dumpster. Four were abandoned alongside a road. Four were surrendered by a person who was unable to pay for their care anymore. And the rest were rescued from a facility that had planned to euthanize them.
All the puppies have been bathed, spayed or neutered and microchipped and are available for adoption for a $75 fee. Call the Suncoast Humane Society at 941-474-7884 for more information.
