Indian Beach residents are somewhat closer to getting a park on the site of the Casa Museo housing development.
They have been asking the county to buy the eight-acre property at 4200 Bay Shore Road and turn it into a park.
On May 21, the Parks, Recreation and Environmental Advisory Board moved the property, which is owned by Coastal Island Group, from eighth place to fourth place on a county purchase-priority list.
The City Commission will hear a report on that change Monday, June 1, and commissioners may vote to endorse the move.
At the last commission meeting May 18, Mayor Dick Clapp made a motion to move the potential project to fourth place on the county list, but that motion was voted down.
