The Sarasota Bay Estuary Program is seeking new members to serve on its Citizens Advisory Committee.
The input from the committee helps the SBEP develop programs and projects that further the goal of restoring and protecting Sarasota Bay.
The citizens committee currently has 20 members from both Sarasota and Manatee counties. Those members have backgrounds as environmental professionals, small business owners, retirees and parents.

Sound of hope
The holiday season hasn’t officially started until our favorite bell ringers return to their posts.
Shoppers and residents were treated to some holiday harmonies by the Senior Friendship Centers’ group, the Second Wind Harmonica Players, in Downtown Sarasota.
