STORE AROUND THE CORNER: The Furniture Warehouse
Date: May 10, 2010
by: Loren Mayo | Community Editor
In a slow economy, Mark Richmond knows that consumers are conscious of service and value. He shops for furniture in markets worldwide in search of the finest quality furniture and offers it at warehouse prices.
The remodeled Furniture Warehouse on North Washington Boulevard carries a full line of national name brand furniture such as Ashley, Klaussner, Simmons and Pelican Reef, and offers furniture for living and bedrooms, mattresses, leather, wicker, rattan and recliners.
Richmond also gives back to the community with trade-in events that benefit Habitat for Humanity Restore locations that, in turn, help finance the building of the habitat homes. He hosts food drives to assist in filling the cupboards of the All Faiths Food Bank in Sarasota.
Recently, Richmond was honored as the 2010 distinguished furniture retailer of the year for the state of Florida. The recipient of this prestigious award is selected for outstanding contributions to the furniture industry through creative skills, management expertise, hard work and loyalty. It has been awarded only 10 times since 1981.
