The 13th annual Good Friday Morning Station of the Cross walk took place Friday, March 29, down Main Street through downtown Sarasota.
The tradition, sponsored by the Men’s Ministry of Church of the Redeemer in conjunction with the Sarasota Ministerial Association, has grown to 500 people in 2012, from 50 people in 2001.
Despite the cold weather, many families, clergymen and women and representatives of the community took part in the walk. The Rev. Fred Robinson led the opening devotion and Chris Wood, the youth minister carried the cross from Hollywood 20 to the Church of the Redeemer.
