Historical Society of Sarasota County to offer books by local authors

The Historical Society of Sarasota County’s gift shop is offering books by local authors around Sarasota.
The shop is located in the Bidwell –Wood House, the oldest house in Sarasota. People can browse through a variety of Sarasota history books by authors such as Jeff LaHurd and Gene Jones.
The gift shop is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, and visitors are welcome to read on the back porch that overlooks Pioneer Park.
