UPDATE: Deputies find dead man near Pinecraft Park

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a man found just after 3:30 a.m. this morning, in the Pinecraft Amish Community.
Detectives are investigating a homicide after finding the body of Steven B. Palasz, a 44-year-old Sarasota resident, near Fry Street and Carter Avenue. The intersection is southwest of the corner of Beneva Road and Bahia Vista Street, near Palasz's residence.
Palasz was arrested for burglary, obrstructing an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia in 2007, and dealing in stolen property in 2011 and 2012.
