The Sarasota Harley Owners Group will sponsor its 11th annual St. Patty’s Day Poker Run Sunday, March 14, starting at the Humane Society of Sarasota County Inc.
Adoptable pets will be the guests of honor during the run, with all proceeds benefiting the animals of the Humane Society.
All poker run stops will be held at Irish pubs or restaurants. Poker hands are $10 per hand or three hands for $20. There will be a cash prize for the best and worst hand.
Registration takes place from 11 a.m. to noon. The first bike out leaves at 11:30 a.m., with the last bike out leaving at noon from registration. All bikes should be in by 3:30 p.m., at the final stop and party at Rasher Tierney’s Irish Pub in Bradenton.

Cardinal Mooney High School hosted its 11th annual walkathon to raise money for All Children’s Hospital Saturday Feb. 4. Students and families joined staff to walk for a cause. Eleven years ago, the high school lost several students to leukemia and decided to start this fundraising event to raise funds for research. The walkathon, which includes a dance-off, concession stands and field-day activities, was sponsored by Harmor Mobility, Sarasota Lanes, Petland and Tropicana. -
