Sarasota County commissioners voted unanimously to rename the Health and Human Services Building at 2200 Ringling Blvd. the William L. Little Health and Human Services Center Feb. 26. The county did so to honor Deputy County Administrator Bill Little’s retirement.
Little, who spent 15 years with the county, fought back tears, and the audience in the County Commission gave him two standing ovations during his retirement recognition.
“You have an incredible knack for making everything around you better,” said Commissioner Joe Barbetta.
“I can’t think of a better name of the building,” said Commissioner Christine Robinson.
