Stop signs on Sarasota County Commission agenda
Date: February 25, 2013

Sarasota County commissioners will discuss a resolution to add stop signs on Beechwood Avenue at its intersection with Crestwood Avenue during a Feb. 27 meeting.
More than four residents spoke in favor of the four-way stop at a Dec. 10 Sarasota County Traffic Advisory Council meeting. They cited the roadway’s common use as a thoroughfare from U.S. 41 to Stickney Point Road as a hazard to pedestrians and a noise nuisance.
Staff determined the average daily traffic northbound and southbound was 1,270 vehicles.
