Grab a motorcycle helmet, a foam noodle, a mask — any party accessory will do, really, and start stretching. The HuB is inviting Sarasota to participate in the filming of its own “Harlem Shake” video. For those unfamiliar with the video meme, it involves participants dancing and wildly flailing to the 2012 song, “Harlem Shake” by Baauer.
Typically, videos feature one person, wearing a mask, who begins dancing as the beat builds, and when it drops, a room full of other dancers join in, gyrating in costumes and with props.
The HuB plans to film the video from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at its office, 1680 Fruitville Rd.
The only requirements are that dancers bring a prop and RSVP at http://bit.ly/XnkwIR.
