Sarasota real estate sales continue their strong showing. January’s sales were 58% higher than those in January 2008.
There were 506 home and condo sales last month. A year ago, there were just 319.
Last month’s pending sales topped 800 for the first time in four months.
Sale prices are mixed. January’s median sale price for single-family homes was $156,250. Last year, the median sale price was $149,950.
But condo prices have fallen year-to-year. Last month, they were $165,000, compared to last year’s figure of $220,000.
