A problem with a shipment of Marathon gasoline from a tanker headed to the Port of Tampa has left several gas stations in Southwest Florida without gas for the last couple of days.
Gas station clerks at several Sarasota Save-On gas stations confirmed for The Sarasota Observer that they have been out of gas for days and aren’t expected to receive any until at least tomorrow.
The shipment, which was met with a shipping delay, has also left a variety of gas stations that depend on Marathon gas shipments , including Marathon gas stations, without gasoline as far north as Ellenton.
