The 20th annual Saraosta Highland Games and Celtic Festival return to the Sarasota Fairgrounds Saturday, Feb. 1.
The festival celebrates Scotland’s long and proud history with beating drums, Highland Dancing and traditional athletic events.
For anyone look to start celebrate early, there will be a “Celtic Rock Concert” at the fairgrounds Friday, Jan. 31. Admission to the show is $10.
Attendees of the festival are invited to bring their family’s traditional shortbread recipe for the festival’s competition. The buttery treat is a classic Scottish dessert.
Be sure to wear tartan to find your clan!
