U.S. Marshals Service and the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office worked together to arrest two men wanted for murder in Louisville Kentucky.
Sarasota deputies located Michel Vega Cartas, 23 and Janzel Vega Cartas, 20, at a hotel in the 5300 block of Fruitville Road in Sarasota last night.
Deputies arrested one other person, Maisbelys Gurri, 20, for Obstruction of Justice.
Louisville Metro Police say the brothers are suspects in the stabbing death of a 23-year-old man in a McDonald’s parking lot Jan. 15.
The fugitives had gone to Miami and were trying to leave the country. They traveled north to Sarasota County when Miami law enforcement began working the case.
