Sarasota plane crash kills one, hospitalizes another

A plane crash Saturday afternoon in an open field on the USF-New College Campus killed the pilot , 70-year-old John Ardoyno.
The other occupant of the plane, 63-year-old William Jackson, was taken to Tampa General Hospital burn unit in critical condition.
As of yesterday, the issue that caused the plane to malfunction is unknown. The National Transportation Safety Board is currently investigating the cuase of the crash.

- This accident was sad for the families of the two individuals involved. It was lucky the crash did not occur during regular week-day classes when there could have been many more casualties.
