BOXSPRING BREAK

2:52 p.m. — 4000 block of North Tamiami Trail. Civil Problem. A manager at a motel said he had a box spring mattress sitting in a parking lot, leaning against a tree while he was cleaning a room. A man drove his car into the motel’s parking lot and struck the mattress. A woman said a resort’s golf cart was taken from the property between 1 and 6 a.m. She said the cart isn’t secured at night and the key is broken, so anyone could have gotten on it and driven away. 5:59 p.m. 5000 block of North Tamiami Trail. Suspicion General. A woman said another car swerved at her and almost ran her off the road.
