First Communion theft
9 p.m. — 5100 Kestral Park Place. Grand Theft. A couple was holding a First Communion party for their daughter at their home. During the party, the mother noticed a guest’s purse sitting on her bedside table. The father later saw the guest by herself in the bedroom. The next morning, the mother discovered that 36 pieces of jewelry, worth $10,000, were missing from her jewelry box. She called the guest, who denied taking the jewelry. The mother tried to call her again the next day, but the number had been disconnected. Fishy. Sheriff’s detectives are now on the case.
