Sure, I’ll wait
7:25 p.m. — 8200 block of South Tamiami Trail. A man who rode the bus to the mall asked the bus driver if he had time to quickly run into a store to take care of some employment business. The driver told the man that he would wait. The man left his backpack on the seat and ran in the store. About five minutes later, he returned to find the bus was gone. The man asked another bus driver to contact the forgetful one, who said there was someone on his bus at that moment carrying a backpack. That other person got off the bus before the driver could ask whose backpack it was. The pack contained a $900 laptop computer and $120 worth of other items.
