‘Drunk as a skunk’
11:40 p.m. — Mall Drive and Superior Avenue. Driving Under the Influence. When a sheriff’s deputy pulled a woman over for suspicion of drunk driving, the suspect provided two big clues that she was in fact inebriated. First — the deputy asked for the woman’s driver’s license. She handed him her debit card. Second — during a drunk driving test in which she was asked to stand on one leg, the woman nearly fell over and told the deputy, “I’m drunk as a skunk.” Case closed.
