. Theft. Several months ago, a man wanted to sell his former landlord a piece of jade art for $1,200. The landlord said he would think about it, so the man left the art with him. On the above date, the man went back to pick up the art, but the landlord, who never paid for it, refused to return it. An officer spoke to the landlord, who said he was going to keep the art until the man paid $4,400 in back rent. The man plans to press charges against the landlord.

Dispute. The manager for an eyeglasses store said a man bought a pair of glasses but called back a couple of days later to complain that he was seeing double.
