For five months, 113 performers, ranging in age from fourth-graders to seniors, have been preparing to put on a spectacular winter show. Hours-upon-hours of rehearsal time is required. And the creation of costumes, set pieces, scripts and lighting have finally come together to create Sailor Circus’ 2012 Holiday Spectacular “The Polar Express.” Presented by Circus Sarasota and directed by Susan Loeffler, the 11th annual holiday spectacular will be based on the beloved Christmas book that was turned into a movie in 2004. “The Polar Express” will feature a wide variety of acts from clowning around to the always impressive high-flying routines.
