The Van Wezel Foundation announced Tuesday that longtime non-profit consultant Norman Olshansky will serve as foundation President and Chief Executive Officer.
Olshansky has spent the last 14 years of his career serving as an advisor to nonprofits throughout the United States. He is a former board member of the Southwest Florida chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the former executive director of the Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Federation. He has served on the Community Advisory Board for the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee and is a frequent seminar leader for nonprofit organizations.
An author for CharityChannel, the oldest and largest online community of nonprofit professionals, Olshansky is recognized nationally for his published articles relating to the nonprofit sector and for leading large capital and endowment fundraising initiatives.
“I’m very exited to have an opportunity to work with one of the region’s most important cultural venues,” Olshansky says. “On a personal level, for someone who’s lived in the community for over 20 years and spent the past 14 years working with organizations around the country, it’s nice to be able to do what I love for my own hometown.”
