World class tennis right here on the Key? Yes, please!
A handful of the world's most elite players, including Sam Querrey, James Blake and Ivo Karlovic, will descend on the Longboat Key Club's Tennis Gardens starting at noon Saturday, April 13.
Up this weekend: the men's qualifying rounds and the Nick Bollettieri Pro-Am Event, which pits eight mere mortals against eight Sarasota Open contestants.
You can watch the veterans, who've made a name for themselves at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open, as well as two local up-and-comers, Ryan and Christian Harrison, who train at IMG Academy in Bradenton.
Tickets, which range from $10 to $100 per day, or $500 for the whole tournament, are available at sarasotaopen.org
