When did you start playing tennis?
I began when I went to camp in Maine when I was 11 years old. I wasn’t any good at baseball, so it was tennis. I have been playing ever since and now play three times a week.
How was today’s game?
I just did terrible in the first set but got my game back in the second set.
Did you warm up before playing today?
Oh yes. My partner and I always do. We hit some balls and volleyed for at least five to 10 minutes.
What do you eat before the game?
I don’t eat anything specific, and I never play on a full stomach.
What was your best move today?
After that horrible first set, my best moves were my volleys, and my crossover shots worked great.
Any slip-ups today?
I missed a lot of volleys in the first set.
Will you do anything differently the next time you play?
I’ll certainly try to remember how I played in the second set and do the same.
