Members of St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Women’s Guild and the St. Mary Men’s Club joined together for the first time to hold a shared Christmas celebration. Held Dec. 15, at Stella Maris Hall, a musical program featured operatic singer Michelle Giglio and pianist Lee Dougherty Ross. Operatic selections and carols of the season delighted the audience.
The event concluded with refreshments of holiday sweets. The Rev. Phillip Scheff, who was assigned this summer to St. Andrew’s Church, in Punta Gorda, returned for the event. Members presented him with a token of appreciation in recognition of his three years at St. Mary’s. Party chairwoman was Mary Elizabeth Carey.
