Obituary: Patricia 'Patty' Browne Wrightson

Patricia “Patty” Browne Wrightson of Longboat Key and formerly of White River Junction, VT and Upper Montclair, NJ died on Nov. 19, 2011. She was born on Dec. 8, 1927.
Wrightson was a graduate of Abbot Academy in Andover, Mass. She supported and volunteered at the Longboat Key Center for the Arts and the Longboat Key Library. She was an active member of All Angels by the Sea Episcopal Church and served as a lay reader and on the Altar Guild. She and her husband George “Brud” D. Wrightson who died in 2004 joined the Bird Key Yacht Club in the 1990s.
She was preceeded in death by husband George “Brud” D. Wrightson and first husband David E. Rickenbacker. She is survived by son, D. Brian Rickenbacker; two daughters, Marcia F. Rickenbacker and Nancy C. Schindler; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service and interment will be held at All Angels by the Sea Episcopal Church in April of 2012. Memorial donations may be made to the Longboat Key Public Library, All Angels by the Sea Episcopal Church or the Sarasota Memorial Foundation.
