St. Armands Key Lutheran Church held an impressive installation service Oct. 18 for its new pastor, the Rev. Mark A. Bernthal. Taking part were former pastors, the Revs. Eric Wogen, Bob Zimmer and William Nies. Clergymen from Longboat Key also took part in the service.
Bernthal was formerly pastor of the Lamb of God Lutheran Church, in Haines City, for 18 years. He succeeds Wogen, who retired last year.
Following the service, parishioners attended a dinner at the Bird Key Yacht Club hosted by Virginia Toulmin.
