Charles Clark, 90, of Logansport, Ind,. and formerly of Longboat Key and Sarasota, died Sept. 19.
Born May 5, 1919, he graduated from Indiana Business College and was also a business graduate of La Salle University, in Philadelphia.
During World War II, Mr. Clark worked at the Curtiss-Wright Defense Plant, and, later, at Stewart Warner, in Indianapolis. He went on to work at Essex Wire at RBM, in Logansport. In 1968, he and partners established Logan Stampings Inc. Mr. Clark later gained controlling interest and sold the company in 1981.
Mr. Clark was a past president and financial officer of the Whitney Beach Association. He was a member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and a 32nd degree Mason.
Mr. Clark enjoyed music, golf and fishing. He was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Emma; daughter, Barbara Clark Smith, of Auburn, Ind.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 22, and Wednesday, Sept. 23, in Logansport.
