Paul Fekete
Paul Fekete, 84, of Longboat Key, died Sept. 3.
Mr. Fekete was born Feb. 16, 1925, in Hungary. He came to the United States with his family in 1956 and worked as a senior research scientist at Johnson & Johnson until retiring.
Mr. Fekete and his wife, Eva, moved to Longboat Key in 1994. He was active in Hungarian cultural organizations throughout his life.
Mr. Fekete is survived by his wife, Eva; daughter, Esther, of New Jersey; son, Akos, of Seattle; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Kossuth Club, P.O. Box 19774, Sarasota, Fla., 34276.
Robert H. Saalfeld
Robert H. Saalfeld, 84, of Longboat Key and formerly of Villa Hills, Ky., died Sept. 4.
Mr. Saalfeld was born Dec. 28, 1924. He was a World War II Army veteran and received a Purple Heart.
He was the CEO of Saalfeld Paper, in Cincinnati.
Mr. Saalfeld is survived by his daughters, Nancy Bright, of Fort Wright, Ky., and Susan Williamson and Barbara Asbury, both of Lexington, Ky.; son, Robert T., of Longboat Key; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial Mass was held at St. Agnes Church, in Fort Wright, Ky.
