Mildred Yasuna, 95, of Sarasota and formerly of Longboat Key, died Aug. 5.
Born in 1918, in Boston, Mass., she is the daughter of Oscar and Ida Long. She attended Boston University, from which she was awarded her law degree in 1940.
She was an avid tennis player and golfer and loved the ocean. Mrs. Yasuna and her husband had homes for many years on Longboat Key.
Mrs. Yasuna was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Dr. Elton Yasuna, and her daughter, Amy.
She is survived by her two sons, Martin and Edward; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Monday at Plymouth Harbor in Sarasota. Memorial donations may be made to the Smith Care Center of Plymouth Harbor.
