Lawrence Grant, 69, of Tampa and formerly of Longboat Key, died July 11.
Originally from Philadelphia, he graduated from Temple University and Temple Law School, in Philadelphia.
Mr. Grant practiced as an attorney in Paoli, Pa. He moved to Longboat Key in 1990, and, in 2001, he moved to Tampa to help raise his grandchildren.
Mr. Grant is survived by his wife of 42 years, Wendy; daughter, Dr. Amanda Smith, of Lutz; son, Peter Grant, of Darien, Conn.; and three granddaughters.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, July 14, at Temple Beth Sholom Cemetery, in Sarasota.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the University of South Florida Suncoast Alzheimer’s Center, 4001 E. Fletcher Ave., Tampa, Fla., 33613.
