Cynthia Segrest Hamilton Dunn, 80, of Charlotte, N.C., and formerly of Longboat Key and Punta Gorda, died June 24.
A native of Baton Rouge, La., she attended Louisiana State University, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She had a successful career as a real-estate broker in Louisiana and Florida. She loved genealogy, history, the outdoors, golf and captaining her boat, “The Mistletoe.”
Mrs. Dunn was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Wesley Dunn, and son, William Cabell Hamilton.
She is survived by her daughters, Cyndee Hamilton Taylor, of Jerusalem, and Elizabeth Hamilton Doggett, of Charlotte, N.C.; son, John Hamilton, of Baton Rouge; sister, Jane Segrest Brenner, of Punta Gorda; brother, Ben Howell Segrest, of Winter Park; stepchildren Todd Chas and Jane Santiago; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral was held July 1, in Baton Rouge.
