Marilyn Fields Slocum, 57, died Feb. 1.
Mrs. Slocum graduated from Venice High School and the Ringling College of Art and Design. She headed the in-design department at the Longboat Key Club and Resort for 16 years before opening a fine-art printmaking studio in 2003, in Venice.
Mrs. Slocum is survived by her husband of 32 years, Bill; mother, Jean; sister, Marcia; daughter, Molly; and two grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Ringling College of Art and Design, 2700 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, Fla., 34234.
