Robert Michael Stanton, 64, of Sarasota, died Jan. 22.
A longtime Sarasota police officer, Mr. Stanton was in charge of the special events division on St. Armands Circle and served on the circle’s Holiday Night Committee.
He is survived by his wife, Jayne; parents, Jack and Caroline; sons, Robert and William; five sisters; eight brothers; and eight grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice or the Police Employees Assistance Fund, 2099 Adams Lane, Sarasota, Fla., 34237.
