+ JFCS honors Longboaters
Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Sarasota-Manatee Inc. honored three Longboat Key residents Monday during the Ninth Annual Grace Rosen Magill Memorial Lecture Program for their volunteerism and contributions to help the region’s needy families and children.
Charlotte Graver, a resident of Grand Bay, received the Rabbi Sanford E. & Leah Saperstein Hope & Healing Award, while Rich and Clare Segall, residents of the Sanctuary, received the Sidney J. Berkowitz Building Community Award.
Graver told the audience that her grandfather taught her family: “Those who are privileged have a responsibility to give back.”
