+ Ring the bell for Christmas cheer
It’s that time of year again.
For more than a dozen years, members of the Kiwanis Club of Longboat Key, assisted by friends, have been Salvation Army bell ringers.
“We will begin this year Tuesday, Nov. 24, and continue until Christmas,” said Chairman Martin Bobzien. “This year, the need is greater than ever.”
Bell ringers and their red kettle will be at the Avenue of Flowers near Publix from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Anyone wanting to volunteer can contact Bobzien at 383-8714. The shifts are an hour-and-half long, and times are flexible.
