The stars aligned Nov. 14.
Town Manager David Bullock was born Nov. 14, 1950.
Then, five years later, the town of Longboat Key was born Nov. 14, 1955, when residents voted 183-16 in favor of incorporation.
Bullock had no idea that he and the town shared a birthday until informed by the Longboat Observer at Monday’s Town Commission workshop.
“That’s cool,” he said.
Bullock was living in Berwyn, Pa., on his fifth birthday, although he doesn’t remember his party.
Other prominent individuals to share a Nov. 14 date of birth with Bullock and the town include: Claude Monet, Condoleeza Rice, Prince Charles, Sen. Joseph McCarthy and famed New Age keyboardist Yanni.
