Mark Meador showed up for his first day of work Casa del Mar Sept. 4, 1985, in the aftermath of Hurricane Elena.
Twenty-eight years later, he’s still on the job — now as the resort’s general manager. Casa del Mar staff reminded him of the occasion last Wednesday and presented him with a gift that no doubt tasted almost as sweet as 28 years of success on the job: a box of Twinkies.
