This summer, Bird Key Yacht Club members have spent many hours thinking of ways to entertain their children. They’ve come up with family-program ideas such as sailing, fishing tournaments and, now, this new playground set, which was erected Aug. 22.
“We’re waiting for the inspector to come bless it so that the kids can start playing on it,” said BKYC member Buck Fry. “This will provide a fun atmosphere for kids and send a message to prospective and new members that we’re kid-friendly.”
Fry expects the playground to be open by Thursday, Aug. 27.

This week we went in the kitchen at Roessler's Restaurant with chef and owner Klaus Roessler while he prepares Crepes Suzette, which has been served tableside since the eatery opened.
