This summer, Bird Key Yacht Club members have spent many hours thinking of ways to entertain their children. They’ve come up with family-program ideas such as sailing, fishing tournaments and, now, this new playground set, which was erected Aug. 22.
“We’re waiting for the inspector to come bless it so that the kids can start playing on it,” said BKYC member Buck Fry. “This will provide a fun atmosphere for kids and send a message to prospective and new members that we’re kid-friendly.”
Fry expects the playground to be open by Thursday, Aug. 27.
