Woody Wolverton presented a check for $5,000 to Kiwanis Club of Longboat Key President Vince De Lisi Thursday, Aug. 13, at the Kiwanis Club’s weekly breakfast at the Colony Beach & Tennis Resort. This was the opening contribution for the 2009 St. Jude Gourmet Luncheon on Longboat Key.
Wolverton’s company, Stifel, Nicolaus & Co., agreed to be the event’s platinum sponsor for the third consecutive year. The 28th annual luncheon is scheduled for Nov. 14 in the parking lot of Temple Beth Israel.
The event is organized by the Longboat Key Kiwanis Club and benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
