Morgan Mays, of Longboat Key, competed in the USTA Boys’ 18 and 16 Clay Court National Championships held July 19 to July 26, in Delray Beach. Four hundred of the top-ranked boys tennis players in the country and 100 doubles teams competed in the competition. Mays was ranked 17th. In the first round of play July 25, Mays fell 4-6, 3-6 to No. 2 seed Jackson Withrow, of Omaha.
