Congratulations are in order for The Longboat Observer City Editor Kurt Schultheis and his wife, Observer Group Advertising-Production Coordinator Brooke. The couple welcomed their first child, Liam David, at 1:54 p.m. Aug. 3, at Manatee Memorial Hospital, in Bradenton. Liam weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces and was 18 inches long. Schultheis has worked as the City Editor of The Longboat Observer since February 2007.
