The Longboat Key, Lido Key, St. Armands Key Chamber of Commerce will host the second Longboat Key Challenge this weekend. The event has moved to Bayfront Park.
The main race this year takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 20, and will include sprint races on kayaks and paddleboards. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 19 there will be family fun day and expo, featuring vendors and educational events. Race registration is $45; family fun day is free.
